Goth guru Voltaire to haunt San Jose Fango con
FANGORIA TV — producer/singer Voltaire, the leading spokesperson on Goth culture, will perform at the next FANGORIA’s Weekend of Horrors convention in San Jose, California.
The event will be held January 5-7, 2007 (three monstrous days!) at the Doubletree Hotel San Jose (2050 Gateway Place). Voltaire is a Goth renaissance man, who writes books (WHAT IS GOTH? and PAINT IT GOTH) and comics (THE BOOK OF DEADY, HUMANS SUCK!), creates toys, teaches (at NY’s School of Visual Arts), produces stop-motion animation shorts and IDs (for MTV, Cartoon Network, Sci Fi Channel, etc.) and performs his own macabre music at clubs nationwide.
At the Fango con, Voltaire will screen his latest FANGORIA TV animated interstitial spots (he created the infamous Psycho Bunny!) and will sing for fans on Friday. You can find out more about the artist here: here.

If you’ve sauntered in here no knowing who Voltaire is, we advice you to check out his site:
Voltaire is a singer/songwriter whose music has its roots deeply imbedded in European folk music. His songs speak of love and, most often, the loss thereof with the added twist of how best to seek revenge on the ones who have hurt you. Lyrically, he explores and reveals those moments of vulnerability most would rather not discuss and exploits with childish mirth those fleeting streaks of cruelty we all feel but choose not to act upon or even mention.
